Team Fastech Secures Back-to-Back TFANG Championship

Team Fastech once again reigned supreme, clinching the title of 2024 Team First Asia Network Games (TFANG) Champion, marking a historic back-to-back victory. The team’s exceptional performance across various events earned them the coveted trophy, presented during the awarding ceremony at FAITH Colleges, Batangas, on November 23.

The competition began with the Festival of Dances on October 19, showcasing the vibrant culture of Philippine festivals. Representing the Panagbenga Festival of Baguio City, Team Fastech wowed the audience and judges, claiming the championship title in this colorful and theatrical event. Team Diwa, representing the Masskara Festival of Bacolod City, secured the first runner-up position. Other notable performances included FAITH Colleges’ homage to the Kadayawan Festival of Davao City and Congenerics’ spirited take on Cebu City’s Sinulog Festival.

Beyond the Festival of Dances, TFANG 2024 featured a mix of major games, mind games, mini-Olympics, and special competitions. Highlights included:

  • Volleyball Championship: Fastech emerged victorious, with FAITH as the runner-up.
  • Basketball Title: FAITH claimed the championship in the main game, while Fastech secured the 3-point shootout.
  • Mind Games: Diwa dominated Chess and Sudoku, while Fastech excelled in Scrabble and Monopoly.

The Mr. and Ms. Team First Asia 2024 Pageant added flair to the event, with Mr. FAITH and Ms. Congenerics taking the crowns. Diwa also won Best Costume, while FAITH and Fastech shone in formal wear and talent, respectively.

This year’s TFANG was the first fully onsite event since the pandemic, fostering a renewed spirit of camaraderie among Team First Asia affiliates. Held on October 19 and November 23 at the FAITH Colleges campus, the games were a testament to the participants’ sportsmanship, creativity, and teamwork.

In a significant moment during the closing ceremonies, Team Congenerics was officially announced as the host for the next season of TFANG. Representing Team Congenerics, Afreight Managing Director Rosabelle L. Woolf formally accepted the hosting responsibility from FAITH Senior Vice President for Administration Emmanuel S. Sator during the ceremonial passing of the torch on November 23.

Congratulations to all the teams for an outstanding showing at TFANG 2024, and best wishes to Team Congenerics as they take the lead for TFANG 2025!
