First Asia Venture Capital Inc. (First Asia) is a venture capital company involved in a number of Philippine-based businesses. First Asia started in 1977 as a management consultancy firm. Since then, it has been involved in mobilizing investments for various small-to-medium sized businesses. By 1983, First Asia was formally established and incorporated as a professionally managed venture capital company.

Presently, First Asia operates more as a direct investment holding company, with an investment portfolio across a variety of industries. Collectively, First Asia’s corporate network is called Team First Asia.

Today, we proudly stand as a diversified investment holding company with a portfolio spanning industries such as education, logistics, real estate, hospitality, aviation, and technology.

Historical Milestone

1977

Started as a management consultancy firm, Genesis Equity and Management Inc.

1983

First Asia Venture Capital was officially incorporated.

Acquired the rights to publish the Bato Balani Science Magazine which became the first publication of First Asia’s educational publishing company, Diwa Learning Systems Inc.

Fastech was incorporated as Circuit Packaging Inc, the company’s electronics manufacturing firm. Fastech acquired Nutech Circuits which was renamed Solid Circuits before the group decided on the name, Fastech. It was First Asia’s first dollar earning subsidiary.

1985

Established Afreight, one of the largest door to door cargo forwarding companies in the Philippines to date.

1988

Asset Growth became part of the First Asia group to respond to the growing real estate needs of the group.

1991

Established Bato Balani Foundation Inc. (BBFI), First Asia’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm. BBFI is a non-stock, non-profit organization engaged in the conceptualization and implementation of education development programs.

2000

Founded First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities (FAITH Colleges) situated in Tanauan City, Batangas.

2008

Acquired Lima City Hotel, nestled at the Lima Technology Center in Malvar, Batangas. Rebranding it as Lima Park Hotel, the hotel is now the only four-star hotel in the province of Batangas.

2011

First Asia made investments in Omni Aviation Inc., an airline training academy with over 22 years of experience in aviation training located in Clark, Pampanga

2014

Established Asiafreight to cater to the logistic requirements of corporations. It is rising to become a trusted name in the air import forwarding sector.

2015

To support the young startup community in the Philippines, First Asia established Brainsparks as an innovation and startup hub by FAITH Colleges.

Agile Construction and Development Inc. and IXL Lima Security Group were established

2017

First Asia made investments in Suds Laundry Suds Laundry & Dryclean, a professional garment care and cleaning service company for individuals and institutions.
