Fastech Hosts ACES Meet-and-Greet 2025: Fostering the Next Generation of Engineers

Fastech successfully hosted the Academe Cadet Engineer and Senior High School Scholarship Program (ACES) Meet-and-Greet 2025 on November 29, 2025. Held at Batangas Lakelands, the event brought together students and partner schools for a day dedicated to collaboration, engagement, and shared growth, further strengthening the vital link between industry and academe.

Empowering Provincial Talent

In his opening remarks, Fastech President Allan P. Timonera emphasized the importance of lifelong learning and debunked the stigma associated with provincial education.

“Coming from the provinces does not limit your potential,” Timonera stated. “In fact, many of the country’s best engineers, scientists, and leaders began exactly where you are now. What carries them forward is a commitment to keep learning.”

He also underscored the value of hands-on exposure, noting that partner companies provide students with access to real-world equipment and processes. “When you see firsthand how things are manufactured or designed, your dreams become concrete,” he added.

Building Skills Through Connection

The event showcased school presentations celebrating student identity and creativity, followed by an inter-school mixer. This session encouraged scholars to build interpersonal skills and gain confidence in self-presentation.

A major highlight was the Amazing Mind Race, a series of team-based challenges designed to test problem-solving, adaptability, and strategic thinking. These interactive segments were specifically curated to build communication and collaboration—competencies essential for both academic and professional success.

A Call to Action

Fastech Managing Director Primo D. Mateo Jr. concluded the event with a message of gratitude for the partner institutions and the scholars’ hard work. He challenged the students to look beyond their studies, urging them to “embrace the challenges ahead, uphold moral values, and strive to make a positive impact within your communities.”

The 2025 ACES Meet-and-Greet reaffirms Fastech’s commitment to nurturing young talent and providing collaborative learning experiences that equip students with the tools to lead in the future.
